One of the things I miss about Corporate America..... NOT!!!

Its been eight + years since I left the office job that tried to suck the life out of me (like the mosquitos that would attack on my visits to the West Indies as a child).  Since then I've been working for boutique florists; designing, running the shop etc.  I had no idea how far behind I was in technology until recently.  You see when you're in corporate America you gain computer knowledge by force.  Systems are replaced and programs are updated, so that even the most technophobic employee learns new skills.  This is usually not the case when your employed by boutique establishments.

I knew that updating my laptop was necessary in order to embark on my entrepreneurial journey, but WHAT I needed? I had no idea.  I couldn't tell my I3 from my 4GB, my driver from my flash drive, or my DVD+R from my DVD-RW. Thank God for return policies and kind salespersons who explained among other things, that I didn't have to purchase a brand new printer after all.

Now let's hope this blog posts correctly...
